Why dollar dominance is here to stay
Live: Wednesday 6 March 15:00 (London)
Steven Kamin and Mark Sobel will discuss their recent paper, ‘Dollar dominance is here to stay for the foreseeable future’ on the outlook for continued dollar dominance. Along with audience discussion, they will cover the dollar’s current global financial role, its benefits and the lack of viable alternatives and prospects for other currencies gaining greater traction. They will also examine their view that the US itself is the greatest threat to dollar dominance, considerations on the use of financial sanctions as well as the potential ramifications and reasons.
